Posted June 08, 2019 09:10:03 A video posted on YouTube showing a man using an umbrella to clean a dog’s poop has been taken down after the video creator posted it to social media with the caption: “This video is going to go viral and everyone will know who did it”.
The video is now live on the video production site Singularity Hub.
It shows a man with a wet towel around his face cleaning a dog with a small umbrella.
The man then wipes the dog’s mouth and neck.
He then throws the wet towel into the pond, and takes a dip in the water.
A man is seen doing a similar act while using a wet umbrella in a video on the same video production website.
An older man uses an umbrella in this video on SingularityHub.
Singularity Hub says it takes video creators seriously, and the video was taken down in the first place due to copyright concerns.
“The content in this particular video is not a parody or a prank, but rather a true story of a dog that needs a little bit of attention,” a spokesperson told ABC News.
On Singularityhub, users can find videos showing the same activity, but this one has received more than 1.4 million views.
“The video itself is of a person cleaning a poo with a towel and is not meant to be a prank.
It was taken as a parody and a story,” a user said.
But the user was unhappy with Singularity for not immediately deleting the video.
“[Singularity] doesn’t always remove videos that are deemed inappropriate and we would never do that,” the user said, adding that the video had been shared more than 400,000 times.
“We are very sad that a video has been shared and shared so many times, but we hope that Singularity will be more careful with their actions in the future,” the video producer told ABC Radio Melbourne.
