The CW’s The Walking Death has been renewed for a third season.
The renewal comes after a year in which the show gained renewed traction with its ratings and audiences.
The Walking Deaths Season 3 was the highest-rated and most-watched season of the series, with a 6.3 rating in adults 18-49, up 10 percent from the season two premiere.
In total viewers, the season finale was the series’ most-viewed in the history of the network.
The show was also the top-rated drama in adults 25-54 and in adults 21-49.
In addition, the network renewed the show for two additional seasons.
The first season, which wrapped on March 25, saw a 6% increase in total viewers and a 7% increase among adults 18, with an average rating of 2.7, up 6 percent from last year.
The second season, set to debut later this fall, was expected to see a similar increase, but that fell to 3.3.
The Walking Death Season 3 will return in 2019 for a 10-episode second season.
